Cut, drill, weld and solder, the way it is done in a real shop

The Engineering Workshop is where frames are made. It teaches the method, not just the result: the right tool, the right order, the right protection. A careful build earns full marks, every mistake is named with the source that says why, and the whole build can be replayed and re-marked on the server.

[01] Step by step

How it goes

  1. [01]Draw the plate on the dot sheet, or start from a kit
  2. [02]Cut it from the sheet and smooth every edge
  3. [03]Drill each hole to its clearance
  4. [04]Weld a centre-bar frame in the jig, V-blocks and clamps
  5. [05]Solder the power board
  6. [06]Check mass, balance and drag, then send it to the STEM Engine

[03] Machines

The machines you will run

The Machine bench drives seven real machines, each drawn to its maker's published dimensions. Turn one on, cut, and stop it with the same G-code a real shop sends.
